Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha wins confidence vote

Bangkok Post reported Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and 5 ministers easily passed the vote of confidence in the National Assembly on September 4. The ratio of votes of confidence to no confidence for General Prayut was 264/208, higher than Labor Minister Suchart Chomklin’s 263/201 (with 10 abstentions). Previously, Prime Minister Prayut won a higher number of votes of confidence, with 274 votes in both the February 2020 and February 2021 votes.
